the creation of taskbridge

Before taskbridge, many generator companies relied on paper folders to conduct their day-to-day business. taskbridge founders Ron S. and Justin S. saw a need for a more streamlined process. In 2016, they turned their ideas into reality. Justin, now the President of taskbridge, had experience working with CRMs and brought his knowledge and expertise to the team.

Replacing paper-based processes with taskbridge has dramatically increased efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and reducing manual data entry errors. taskbridge enables real-time collaboration and instant access to information, accelerating decision-making and improving workflow. It is a dynamic, multi-faceted tool designed to simplify workloads and enhance productivity. Every action that would have previously been organized in color-coded folders is now stored in a "bucket" within the taskbridge software.

Initially, taskbridge was marketed as an "Industrial Sales Project Management System," but it has since expanded to cover all aspects of the generator sales process. Project Managers use taskbridge to organize emails, track shipments, and schedule meetings. Inside Salespeople use taskbridge to streamline quote creation, while Project Engineers use it to manage all the projects they oversee.

In 2021, taskbridge acquired its first outside customer, Buckeye Power Sales (BPS). As taskbridge has grown, so has its partnership with BPS, now its longest-standing customer. Following this first collaboration, many other companies joined. Kinsley Power Systems began using taskbridge in 2021, Total Energy Systems in 2022, and in 2023, Power Depot Inc. and New England Generator Co. became clients.

To better serve customers and reach a larger audience, taskbridge joined the National Emergency Generator Dealer Association (NEGDA) in 2024. NEGDA’s mission is to encourage collaboration between dealers and keep them updated on the latest industry developments. The taskbridge team fully believes that being part of this organization will help them stay informed on industry advancements and better adapt to customers’ needs.

taskbridge's efficiency is driven by the dedicated team behind the scenes. “They are always ready to reinvent the wheel when challenges arise,” says Natalie Locke, Training and Marketing Manager for taskbridge. Any necessary changes are implemented quickly, thanks to the team's experience.

The most recent company to launch with taskbridge was Bay City Electric Works, which achieved this in just one week—a significant accomplishment. It wasn't just the Project Managers or Inside Sales team; the entire company launched together. taskbridge is hopeful to have many more successful launches like this in the future.

While there is potential for taskbridge to expand into industries with similar processes, such as construction, it remains unique because it was specifically designed to solve a problem within the generator industry. This specialization is why taskbridge can effectively meet the needs of so many power companies, and we look forward to continuing this for many years to come.
